Water Palace Tirtagangga in East Bali
-
The water palace of Tirtagangga, about 4 miles north of Amlapura, was built in 1948 by the last raja (king) of Karangasem, A.A. Ngura Ketut Karangasem and is famous for its crystal clear water in the fish ponds and swimming pond. An old Hindu belief is that there is an underground connection with the river Ganges in India.
